Tis the season for big mugs of creamy hot chocolate. I’m a big kid when it comes to making hot chocolate. I always add a ton of cream, marshmallows, and extra chocolate sauce to the top of my already perfect drink. My husband laughs at me, as I see how many marshmallows I can balance on top of my whipped cream.
There is nothing better than a hot chocolate after a cold winters walk. Or, even better, getting cozy with your fingers wrapped around a mug of hot coco, watching your favorite Netflix show.
My First Peppermint Hot Chocolate
The first time I had peppermint hot chocolate was at a café in Dublin airport. I was traveling to see my sister and I overheard someone in the queue talking about how delicious it was. I’m always up for trying new things, so I ordered one. Oh, my goodness, it tasted so delicious that I’ve been making peppermint hot chocolate ever since. This peppermint hot chocolate recipe feels extra Christmassy to me. I always add a few marshmallows, lots of whipped cream, and a little crushed candy cane to the top. Oh, and don’t forget to hook a candy cane over the edge of your hot chocolate mug, too.
