Homemade Bread Stuffing
Ingredients
- 227 Grams Butter
- 1 Red onion Medium Chopped
- 500 Grams Sourdough bread Cut into cubes
- 1 Teaspoon Minced garlic
- 2 Teaspoons Mixed herbs
- 2 Teaspoons Salt
- 1/2 Teaspoon Ground black pepper
Instructions
- First, preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F).
- Melt the butter in a large frying pan over medium-high heat.227 Grams Butter
- Then add the chopped onion to the hot butter and sauté until it becomes soft, which takes about 5 minutes.1 Red onion
- While the onion is cooking, place the bread cubes in a large bowl and season them with salt, mixed herbs, and black pepper.500 Grams Sourdough bread, 2 Teaspoons Mixed herbs, 2 Teaspoons Salt, 1/2 Teaspoon Ground black pepper
- Next, add the minced garlic to the butter and onion mixture and continue to cook for 1 minute.1 Teaspoon Minced garlic
- Once the onion is soft, pour the cooked onion and garlic butter mixture over the bread cubes and stir everything well to ensure the bread is evenly coated. Transfer the bread mixture into a large casserole dish and cover it with aluminum foil.
- Bake in oven for 1 hour, or until the stuffing is golden and crispy on top.
- Serve as a side dish for a roast dinner and enjoy.
