  • First, preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F).
    Preheat oven 175 degrees
  • Melt the butter in a large frying pan over medium-high heat.

  • Then add the chopped onion to the hot butter and sauté until it becomes soft, which takes about 5 minutes.

  • While the onion is cooking, place the bread cubes in a large bowl and season them with salt, mixed herbs, and black pepper.
    500 Grams Sourdough bread, 2 Teaspoons Mixed herbs, 2 Teaspoons Salt, 1/2 Teaspoon Ground black pepper
  • Next, add the minced garlic to the butter and onion mixture and continue to cook for 1 minute.

  • Once the onion is soft, pour the cooked onion and garlic butter mixture over the bread cubes and stir everything well to ensure the bread is evenly coated. Transfer the bread mixture into a large casserole dish and cover it with aluminum foil.

  • Bake in oven for 1 hour, or until the stuffing is golden and crispy on top.
