Cone s’mores couldn’t be any easier to make, Simply fill your waffle cone with marshmallows and a few of your favorite treats. Next wrap each filled cone tightly with foil making sure there are no gaps, you don’t want your melted s’mores to leak out while their cooking. Cook over a BBQ grill or campfire for about five minutes. Remove from the heat, wait a couple of minutes before unwrapping them as the foil will be super-hot. When the marshmallows and chocolate melt together it becomes a splendid gooey treat that we all call s’mores. Absolute perfection.
What are smores?
Smores are a popular campfire treat, its made up of marshmallows and squares of chocolate sandwiched between two Graham crackers. To make traditional smores first you toast your marshmallow over the campfire , once your marshmallow is lovely and gooey, grab yourself two graham crackers and squares of chocolate and sandwich the hot sticky marshmallow between them. The warmth from the marshmallow will then melt the chocolate chunks leaving you with the best campfire dessert ever.
S’mores, short for “some more,” are a classic and beloved American campfire treat. They consist of a few simple ingredients:
- Graham Crackers: Two squares of graham crackers serve as the base for the S’more.
- Marshmallows: A marshmallow, typically a large one, is roasted over an open flame until it becomes soft and slightly toasted on the outside.
- Chocolate: A piece of chocolate, often a chocolate bar or chocolate chips, is placed on one of the graham cracker squares.
The S’more is assembled by sandwiching the roasted marshmallow between the graham cracker with chocolate. The heat from the marshmallow melts the chocolate, resulting in a gooey, sweet, and satisfying treat. The combination of textures and flavors, with the crunch of the graham crackers, the gooey marshmallow, and the melted chocolate, makes S’mores a favorite dessert, especially during camping trips, bonfires, or outdoor gatherings. They are not only delicious but also a nostalgic and social treat enjoyed around the campfire.
Can I buy graham crackers in the UK?
Yes, you can find graham crackers in the UK, although they may not be as commonly available as in the United States. Look for them in larger supermarkets or specialty stores that carry American or international food products. They might be labeled as “graham crackers” or sometimes as the nest closet thing “digestive biscuits.” While digestive biscuits are not exactly the same as graham crackers, they can be a suitable substitute for making S’mores or other recipes that call for graham crackers. Additionally, you can explore online retailers or specialty food stores that import American products, as they often stock graham crackers for those seeking an authentic American taste.
