When it comes to Halloween, I love making the most of it each year. Everything is so much fun, from dressing up, eating bucket loads of candy, spooky-themed food, and best of all, the parties with family and good friends. Making spooky, yet delicious Halloween-themed food, and drinks adds to the fun. My parties and get-togethers wouldn’t be the same without them.

When is Halloween?

Halloween is always celebrated on the 31st of October each year. Halloween also known as Hallowe’en, is a contraction of the words “All Hallows Evening” obviously saying Halloween is so much easier, that’s why it’s stuck for hundreds of years. The tradition of this Halloween celebration each year is said to of originated with the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain, when people would light bonfires and wear costumes and masks on this night to ward off spirits.

How to make Vampire Punch?

I always have a large jug of this watermelon juice, or Bloody Vampire Punch as we call it, at Halloween. It’s a super easy drink to put together. Simply add cubes of fresh watermelon, a few mint leaves, and the juice of two limes to the blender and blend. Next, pour the liquid into a jug through a sieve to get rid of any pulp. Add lots of ice cubes to the jug as this drink tastes so much better when it’s chilled. All that’s left for you to do is serve and enjoy, it’s that easy!

Halloween drink ideas

Having a few different spooky Halloween-themed drinks at a buffet table is a great idea, as many people like different types of drinks. Here are a few Halloween drink recipes I make every year. They’re all always a big hit and enjoyed. A must-try is a few ice scream floats, these are the kid’s absolute favorite, they are super simple to make and are made up just before you serve. Another kid’s favorite is Toxic fizz, this recipe is kind of a party trick. You start by layering up different brightly colored fizzy drinks, and again this needs to be made up just before you serve to get the full effect as the colors start to merge as the ice melts. Lastly, a witches punch bowl filled with a deliciously fruity fizzy drink and creepy Halloween candies, if we make it for the adults, we add a little vodka to the mix too.

Best blenders for Halloween drinks

I found Ninja blenders to be one of the best blenders on the market. I’ve been using my Ninja 3 in 1 blender/food processor for years now and absolutely love it. Ninja has a whole range of kitchen gadgets that come highly rated. This Ninja blender is perfect for making your own vampire punch at home. It comes with a large 2.1-liter jug and a 0.7-liter cup, which is perfect for making a single smoothie or drink. This blender has simple, easy-to-use controls, manual settings, and has dishwasher-safe parts too, for easy cleaning. The Ninja Kitchen System blender has a 1500W motor and also has 4 different functions that can be used to make smoothies, processing, making dough, and lots more. The Ninja has interchangeable stainless-steel blades to help blend even the tougher ingredients with ease.
