Cherry Compote
Equipment
- Glass storage
Ingredients
- 400 Grams Cherries pitted
- 60 Grams Caster sugar
- 1 Teaspoon Lemon juice
- 2 Tablespoons Water
Instructions
- Pit the cherries if they are not already pitted.400 Grams Cherries
- In a saucepan, combine the cherries, caster sugar, lemon juice, and water. Stir well to mix the ingredients. Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a simmer.60 Grams Caster sugar, 1 Teaspoon Lemon juice, 2 Tablespoons Water
- Let the cherry mixture simmer for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally with a spatula. The cherries should soften, and the liquid should thicken slightly.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and allow the compote to cool slightly. Transfer the compote to a glass storage container. You can serve it warm or refrigerate it until needed.
