Simply add your fresh or frozen mixed berries, water, and soft brown sugar into a small saucepan.
300 g Fresh or frozen mixed berries, 1 tbsp Soft brown sugar, 2-3 tbsp Water
Place the saucepan over low heat to simmer for around 30 minutes. Stir occasionally so it doesn’t stick to the bottom of the saucepan.
When the compote has finished cooking, put it to one side to cool. It will thicken a little more as it cools.

Tips and tricksIf you want to add a little more flavor, add half a teaspoon of ground cinnamon.This recipe will keep for about a week in the fridge and a month or so in the freezer.
