First step to making homemade cranberry sauce is to wash your fresh cranberries and discard any damaged ones.
320 g Fresh cranberries
Place all the ingredients into a medium sized saucepan.
125 ml Orange juice, 125 ml Water, 200 g White sugar, 1 Zest of one orange, 320 g Fresh cranberries
Cook your cranberry sauce over a medium heat for about 10-15 minutes or until the cranberries have all burst and the mixture is looking more like a sauce.
Remove your sauce from the heat and set the pan to one side to cool a little. About 5 minutes or so will be fine.
Transfer the cranberry sauce into a serving bowl and store in the fridge to chill. The cranberry sauce will thicken more as it cools.
Remove your homemade cranberry sauce from the fridge a few hours before serving to allow it to reach room temperature.
