Instructions
Add the mayonnaise, lemon juice, kosher salt, and black pepper to a small mixing bowl.
⅓ cup mayonnaise,
1 tablespoon lemon juice,
½ teaspoon kosher salt,
¼ teaspoon black pepper
Whisk until the dressing is smooth and well combined.
Core the apples and dice them into ¾-inch pieces.

Add the diced apples to a large mixing bowl.
Add the halved grapes, sliced celery, and chopped walnuts.
1 cup seedless red grapes,
1 cup celery,
1 cup walnuts
Pour the dressing over the salad.
Toss gently until the apples, grapes, celery, and walnuts are evenly coated.
Serve the salad over green leaf lettuce, if using.

Finish with a small pinch of black pepper, if desired.
Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
Notes
Tips and Tricks
Cut the apples into similar-sized pieces so the salad is easy to eat.
Toss the apples with the dressing soon after cutting to coat them well.
Halve the grapes so they mix more evenly through the salad.
Slice the celery thinly so it adds crunch without overpowering the apples.
Serve over green leaf lettuce for a classic presentation.
Keep the salad covered in the refrigerator if making it ahead.
