any milk (added when ready to blend)
Instructions
Add the strawberries, banana, and chia seeds to a quart-size zip-top freezer bag.
1 cup strawberries,
1 medium banana,
1 tablespoon chia seeds
Press out as much air as possible, then seal the bag tightly.
Place the smoothie pack in the freezer until ready to use.
When ready to make the smoothie, add the frozen contents of the bag to a blender.
If the fruit is stuck together, run the outside of the bag briefly under warm water to loosen it.
Pour in the milk.
1 cup milk
Blend until smooth, about 2 minutes.
Add a little more milk if needed to reach your preferred consistency.
Pour into a glass and serve right away.
Notes
Tips and Tricks
Freeze the fruit and chia seeds without the milk. Add the milk only when blending.
Pressing the air out of the bag helps protect the fruit in the freezer.
Use any milk you like for blending.
If the frozen fruit is hard to remove, warm the outside of the bag briefly.
Blend until completely smooth for the best texture.
Add extra milk a little at a time if the smoothie is too thick.
