Instructions
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, cream, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until well combined.
80 Milliliters Whole milk,
40 Milliliters Double cream,
2 Large Eggs,
1 Teaspoon Vanilla extract,
½ Teaspoon Cinnamon
Dip a slice of bread into the mixture, ensuring it is fully coated but not overly soaked.
4 slices White barrel bread
Heat 1 tablespoon of butter in a non-stick frying pan over medium heat until melted.
2 Tablespoon Butter
Carefully lift the soaked bread from the mixture and place it in the pan. Fry for about 3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
Transfer the cooked French toast to a baking sheet or plat and keep warm in the oven while you cook the remaining slices.
Serve warm with a drizzle of maple syrup, a dusting of icing sugar, or fresh berries, if desired. Enjoy!

Tips & Tricks
Bread Matters
– Thick-cut bread works best! If using regular bread, let it sit in the egg mixture for a few seconds only to avoid sogginess.
Extra Crispiness
– Cooking on medium heat ensures a golden crust without burning.
Flavor Boost
– Add a pinch of nutmeg for extra warmth.
Make It Dairy-Free
– Swap milk and cream for oat or almond milk and use dairy-free butter.
