Instructions
Add the frozen banana, peanut butter, cocoa powder, and vanilla extract to a quart-size zip-top freezer bag.
1 medium banana,
2 tablespoons peanut butter,
2 tablespoons cocoa powder,
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Press out as much air as possible, then seal the bag tightly.
Place the smoothie pack in the freezer until ready to use.
When ready to make the smoothie, add the frozen contents of the bag to a blender.
If the banana is stuck in the bag, run the outside of the bag briefly under warm water to loosen it.
Pour in the unsweetened almond milk.
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
Blend until smooth, about 2 minutes.
Add a little more almond milk if needed to reach your preferred consistency.
Pour into a glass and serve right away.
Notes
Tips and Tricks
Add the almond milk only when you are ready to blend.
Pressing the air out of the bag helps protect the ingredients in the freezer.
Chopping the banana before freezing makes it easier to blend.
If the smoothie is too thick, add extra almond milk a little at a time.
Blend until completely smooth for the best texture.
Serve right away after blending for the freshest taste.
