Into a small saucepan add in all your hot chocolate ingredients and whisk together until the cocoa powder is mostly separated, there will be a few lumps, but they’ll disappear once you start cooking.
600 mls Milk, 2 tbsp Cocoa powder, 2 tbsp Granulated sugar, ½ tsp Vanilla extract, ⅛ tsp Salt
Cook your hot chocolate milk over a medium heat and keep stirring slowly with the whisk for around 3-4 minutes.
Once the hot chocolate is warmed through (not boiling) pour into your favorite mugs.
You can drink your hot chocolate as it is and enjoy or if you’re like me add in a few mini marshmallows and top with whipped cream and chocolate syrup too.
Mini marshmallows, Whipped cream, A drizzle of chocolate syrup
