Pour the simple syrup onto a small plate or shallow bowl. Place the crushed vanilla wafers on a separate plate. Dip the rim of each cocktail glass into the simple syrup, then into the crushed wafers until coated. Set the glasses aside.
2 Teaspoons simple syrup, 6 Vanilla wafers
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the cream liqueur and banana liqueur.
120 ml cream liqueur, 45 ml banana liqueur
Shake well until the mixture is thoroughly chilled.
Strain or pour the drink into the prepared glasses.
Serve cold, with banana slices and whipped cream on top if using.

Tips and Tricks
Crush the vanilla wafers finely, so they stick more evenly to the rim.
