Start by washing and patting dry your strawberries and blueberries.
8 Strawberries, 8 Blueberries
Using a sharp knife, cut your strawberries into thin slices and set them aside.
Place your 8 meringue nests on a clean surface. I recommend using a baking sheet with sides to prevent any accidental mishaps.

Next, put a teaspoon of lemon curd into the center of each meringue nest.
8 tsp Lemon curd
Put your whipped cream into a piping bag with a star head nozzle attachment and swirl the cream onto the center, slightly covering the edges of each meringue nest.
8 tbsp Whipped cream
Now for the fun part - creating the flags. Begin by placing a blueberry in the left-hand corner of the cream topping, then arrange your strawberry slices carefully to create the lines of the American flag. You may need to trim a little extra strawberry slice to fit neatly next to the blueberry.
Finish by placing a mini white chocolate star on each of your blueberries. Serve your 4th of July Meringues and enjoy.
1 tsp White chocolate stars
